A crisp buttery shortbread style cookie that is perfect to enjoy with a warm cup of cocoa!

Shortbread cookies are a favorite at home. Walkers cookies in particular have a special place in all our hearts. I decided to recreate the cookie to enjoy with a warm cup of cocoa. These cookies are perfect for dunking or eaten on their own.
Here's my version of a buttery shortbread cookie
Ingredients
• 1 cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, plus extra for rolling
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
• 4-5 tablespoons sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1-2 tablespoons milk optional, only if required
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 F degrees.
In a bowl mix on low, cream together the butter and sugar until well combined. Add the flour, & salt and mix until the dough is smooth and comes together. Add in 1-2 tablespoons of milk if the dough doesn't come together.
Sprinkle some flour on a flat surface, roll the dough to 1/4 inch thickness and using your favorite cookie cutter, cut out the cookies.
Place the cookies on a baking tray and bake at 325 F degrees for 15 - 18 minutes, or till light they are golden brown from the sides and also from the bottom.
Cool completely before storing the cookies in an airtight container.
