It all began with a craving for a Caesar on a Spring Solstice. I wanted to be outdoors - on a patio - enjoying the lovely spring weather with a scrumptious Caesar. But alas, I couldn't due to lockdown!! So I decided to make it at home and be a little creative!
So here's my easy peasy Caesar recipe that’ll have any crowd thoroughly impressed with your bartender skills!
Ingredients
• 1 bottle (946 ml) Walter Vegan Craft Caesar mix, you can substitute any tomato juice here • a few dashes of tabasco, optional • 12 oz vodka, you can easily substitute tequila here, I’m just not a fan of tequila so I chose vodka • 1 teaspoon lime juice • ice
Garnish • olives, any kind you like • pepper jack cheese cubes • lime wedges • cocktail sticks or toothpicks
To rim your glasses: • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper • 1 teaspoon salt • 1/2 teaspoon sugar • 1 wedge of lime
Directions
In a shallow bowl combine cayenne, salt, & sugar. Wet the rim of your glasses with the lime and dip them in the prepared seasoning.
To prep your garnish, thread the lime wedges, cheese, & olives onto your cocktail sticks and set aside.
In a large pitcher add in your caesar mix, your choice of alcohol, a few dashes of tabasco (I like my drink spicy), & lime juice and stir it. Spoon in some ice into each glass, pour the drink over, top it with your prepared cocktail sticks, and enjoy.
If you don’t like to dilute your drink as I do, just chill the vodka, caesar mix, & glasses beforehand.
